Annual Events are the backbone of our section. Not only do they provide a way for members to meet, they also provide a great way for the public to determine who we are and what we do.
2019 June 8th and 9th
Club climbing and scrambling festival held at Thunder Valley in the gap. This is a nice secluded climbing area with routes for beginners and advanced climbers. Some multi pitch climbs are also available. For those who'd like to stay overnight we will be doing a group camp at racehorse creek campground.
Saturday June 9th at 9:00AM we will all meet at the parking lot in the gap. There are directions to the parking lot listed below. Right across the road from the parking lot is the trail head to the CPR climbing crag. The approach is an enjoyable 1hr hike to a quite climbing area under Thunder Mountain.
Saturday Night we will have a Potluck BBQ at racehorse creek campground.
Sunday we will have a scramble for those interested.
Come brush up on your climbing skills, explore a new area and meet new ACC members. See you all there!

Annual Ice Climbing Opener
Feb 9, 2019
Getting up your first ice climb can be very intimidating, made even more challenging by the chore of finding a willing partner. For over a decade, local climbers have congregated early winter, braving unpredictable Chinooks, to drop top ropes and enjoy BBQ burgers.
Special note: This is the rescheduled event due to warm temperatures in January. The location is still to be determined depending on the weather in February. Location will either be at Jensen’s reservoir or at Quick and Dirty in Waterton. Please follow us on Facebook for up to date information.
